Our matriarch, Maria Amparo, who we also knew as Amparito or Payito left us on July 11, 2022 and is on her spirit journey. My mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was able enough to have major surgery. She was on recovery and making slow progress but her body shut down and was not able to be brought back.

Amparo was just the greatest mom and grandmother. Her smile and laughter was contagious and the representation of love itself. She has left such a big hole in our lives. We will always remember Amparo in our hearts and minds.
