Hello My name is Denyell known by my grandma as “Jelly” I am writing this with tears in my eyes on behalf of my whole family. We are grieving the loss of my dear grandmother Alice. She was always an angel but she joined the love of her life in heaven on Dec 2nd 2023. She was born in Santa Fe New Mexico on Dec 1st 1935. She made it to her 88th birthday❤️ My grandma was a saint, loved everyone as her own, fed everyone, cooked for everyone, cared for everyone, raised so many! She did not have a bad bone in her body. For fun she would make food plates and take them to her neighbors. She loved plants flowers and took pride in her garden She loved giving others fruits and vegetables from her garden. She was, and still is, and will forever be, loved by so many! She loved children so her and my grandpa created a big family. She was a teacher and a day care mother figure to so many. Biologically she was a mother to 7 children. She was blessed with 15 grandkids 25 great grandkids and 6 great great grandchildren. She was the oldest daughter of 11 siblings. Our family is far from perfect, our grandparents just wanted everyone to be happy healthy and loved. We ask for help in our time of grief to celebrate her and my grandpas life. Her husband (our grandpa) and the love of her life, Jose B Romero passed on May 14 2020. We were not able to have a service or funeral for him. He was cremated and his ashes reside with one of their 4 sons. We have created this to make it easy on our family to celebrate the foundation of the Romero family and give all our relatives closure on our losses. The money raised will be spent on her celebration of life ceremony. We plan to buy keepsake necklaces or bracelets for the family to keep them with us always. Any other money will go towards buying food our whole family will prepare and give out for free to the homeless or people that are hungry for the holidays. To honor my grandmother and to insure that she lives through all of us! This is something we all know will have her smiling down on us from heaven. Dates for services are TBD. Our grandma is now with her husband and her son Richard Romero in heaven. We love you forever grandma and thank you for everything 1000 times! You were truly an angel on earth. May you rest in peace.
