¡Hola! ¡Soy María Victoria! Una estudiante venezolana que se encuentra en Madrid cumpliendo uno de sus sueños, ¡estudiar biomedicina! Y necesito ayuda financiera para poder seguir haciendo este sueño realidad.


Lamentablemente, los gastos son sumamente elevados, y no cuento con los recursos necesarios para cubrirlos. He emigrado por cuenta propia, mis padres siguen en Venezuela y no tienen los recursos suficientes para apoyarme.

Siempre he tenido excelentes calificaciones, soy dedicada y responsable, y precisamente por ello es que se me concedió una beca por Expediente Académico Brillante para cursar mi primer año universitario. No obstante, no sé si esta ayuda me será concedida de nuevo para los años académicos siguientes.

He emigrado por mi cuenta con el propósito de buscarme un futuro, y estoy poniendo todo mi esfuerzo y corazón en la carrera que me apasiona y encanta, de la que me enamoro más día a día. Tristemente, sin importar lo mucho que amo la biomedicina, si no puedo costear los gastos, tendré que regresar a Venezuela. No es secreto para nadie la gravísima crisis que mi país está atravesando desde hace años, crisis que no permite que las universidades funcionen y hace que estudiar de forma efectiva sea absolutamente imposible. Además, Biomedicina ni siquiera es una carrera que se imparta en Venezuela, por lo que mis probabilidades de estudiarla en mi país son cero.

La biomedicina es un área de investigación científica que tiene un ENORME potencial. Explora nuestro cuerpo desde lo más, más, más pequeño, estudiando cómo funciona con el fin de poder entender cómo surgen las enfermedades que nos afectan, y así desarrollar nuevas técnicas de diagnóstico, tratamientos y medicamentos más efectivos; así como mejorar los ya existentes. 

La pandemia de COVID-19 ha sido un suceso que ha cambiado nuestras vidas en todos los aspectos, y quizá nunca podremos revertir por completo sus consecuencias. En situaciones como la que estamos viviendo actualmente y que nos afecta a todos, es más evidente que nunca lo IMPORTANTÍSIMA que es la investigación médica.

Todavía hay demasiado que investigar, hay un montón que no sabemos y MUCHÍSIMO que nos falta comprender.

Hi! I I’m Maria Victoria. A Venezuelan student in Madrid trying to achieve one of her dreams, to study biomedicine! However, I need some financial support to continue making this dream a reality.


Unfortunately, the cost of my degree is very high, and I don’t have the necessary resources to afford it. I have migrated on my own. My parents still live in Venezuela, and they don’t have enough income to support me and my degree. That’s why I need your help. 

I have always had excellent grades, I’m committed, responsible and disciplined, that’s why I was granted an scholarship for Brilliant Academic Results, that was granted to me to study the first year of my degree. However, I can’t know for sure if this financial aid will be offered to me once again for my second year, nor for the rest of them. 
 
I have migrated on my own with the purpose of finding a future for myself, and I am putting all my efforts and heart in this degree that i love and feel passionate about. Sadly, no matter how much I love biomedicine, if I can’t cover the expenses I’ll have to return to Venezuela. The humanitarian crisis declared by the United Nations that Venezuela has been going through for years it’s not a secret to anyone, and the socio-economic situation makes it almost impossible to efficiently learn, or even to have the opportunity to study at all. In addition to this, Biomedicine is not taught in Venezuela at all, so my chances to study it there are zero. 

Biomedicine it’s an area inside scientific research related to medicine that has an ENORMOUS potential in the health field. It explores the human body from the smallest little thing, studying how it works in order to understand where illnesses come from and therefore develop new diagnostic techniques and more effective treatments.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been an event that has changed our lives in all aspects, and maybe the effects won’t ever fully revert to our original lifestyles. In situations similar to what we are currently experiencing, the importance of medical research becomes evident. There’s still a lot to be done, lot’s of stuff we don’t know yet and TONS of things we are yet to comprehend.
