Margot Sergent First Album in America

Margot’s here; if you like traditional jazz music, french culture, cross-culture, harp, storytelling, and unique content, YOU have a chance to make a difference today on a large scale.

This crowdfunding will make the impossible possible, producing my first album in America as an independent artist.

A little about me; I was the side man of the #1 selling artist in France,

and I decided eight years ago to turn my life upside down, study at Berklee College of Music for jazz, and start my professional life from the drawing board in NYC.

I sing and play the harp and the piano. I am a songwriter and an arranger.

In 7 years, I did a lot of performances in NY, in residencies such as Bonafide Jazz Club, Jules Bistro, and the French Embassy ... to sold-out to one of the most Iconic Jazz Clubs in NYC: Birdland Jazz Club.

Is it enough to launch a career?

Nope, I am in a kind of rabbit hole without an album.

A little bit about the album: do you like Humans of NY?

Well, it will be similar, but though songs in French and English, with an

unheard feature of a harp in a traditional jazz band.

This album will change my career; with it, I can reach out to radios, be heard, place some of the tracks in advertising to make a sustainable income, and reach out to managers to make my invisible career visible. The album will contain seven originals and four covers. Please donate what you can and spread the word to others who could/want to support my project; the more people step up, the more WE will make it successful.

This album is the crucial part that is missing to move my career forward;- not want to be too hard on myself- covid didn’t help, the music business system doesn’t help indie artists… but I don’t want to feel powerless, and that’s why I am reaching out today.
