Hi All! I have some exciting news to share...I am planning my first official recording (March), but as we all know these projects require funding, so I am reaching out for your help. Some of you are familiar with my harmony project with Ben Paterson, a wonderfully talented pianist and singer (right). They are all timeless classics from the Great American Songbook, performed in duo format (our own original arrangements), with upright bass (Yoshi Waki (left)). It's a project that I am very passionate about, and it is something that Ben & I have been perfecting for many years. We have performed this material at a very special (and well recieved) annual house concert each year (several years in Brooklyn and more recently Greenwich CT) and it's time to get these tracks recorded!
Here is a link to a video to give you an idea:Margi & Ben- You Can't Lose a Broken Heart, 1949
The money will be used to pay for the recording space, the musicians, the fee for the engineer, the materials, etc. Many thanks in advance for your assistance and patronage.
Much love and music to all, Margi. x
