Get Mrs Garguilo Back on Her Feet
Anyone who has met Marge Garguilo, otherwise known as "Mrs. Garguilo" or "Mrs. G", knows what a fun, energetic, spiritual and selfless person she is! I have known Mrs. G. most of my life and not only has she been my mom's best friend but, she has also been a friend, Scrabble partner and Confirmation sponsor to me.
For decades Mrs. G. has been a fixture at churches, volunteering her time. Anyone who was near Saints Simon & Jude since the early 80's, should recognize Mrs. G. and her gorgeous silver mane of hair!
On April 2nd, Mrs. G. was at yet another church, volunteering her time by decorating for Easter, and while in the parking lot, she took a nasty fall. She was unable to get up and was taken to the hospital where she was admitted for severly fracturing both her ankles.
Mrs. G. will undergo emergency surgery on April 4th to repair both her ankles. This surgery will leave Mrs. G unable to walk, care for herself or work her part-time job for up to 2 months. This would be tough for anyone but, as a retired woman who relies on the income from her part-time job, this will be a major set-back for Mrs. G.
As I spoke to her tonight from her hospital bed, I noticed that Mrs. G hasn't let this accident affect her infectious sense of humor and laugh! This is one reason why I am trying to help my friend who so often helps others.
Please join me in raising some money to help Mrs. G pay for the medical bills, care and loss of income she will incur from this unfortunate accident. I am hoping those who know Mrs. G. and all she does for others will join me in helping her literally get back up on her feet!
Prayers and Love to Mrs. G!
