Margarita's Summer Writing Workshops
Donation protected
Friends, I want to share an opportunity to invest in the next generation of writers coming out of Flagstaff!
The talented and hard-working Margarita Cruz has been accepted to two prestigious writing workshops this summer. First, she'll be writing with poet, Dan Beachy-Quick, at the Kenyon Summer Writers Workshop in Ohio. Then, she'll travel to Texas to write at the Macondo Writers Workshop.
In gratitude for those of you who helped me get to my first Kenyon workshop, I'm paying your kindness forward by seeding Margarita's travel fund with $500. Please join me in helping Margarita attend these vital workshops by making your contribution today. I'm hoping for one more gift at $500 and many more gifts of all sizes. Every $5 contribution helps.
Here's more about Margarita: Margarita Cruz received her MFA in Creative Writing from Northern Arizona University. She serves as President of the Northern Arizona Book Festival, columnist for Flagstaff Live!, Mountain Living, and the Arizona Daily Sun and daylights as a bookseller. When she’s not reading, writing, or building community, she is often out hiking in the high desert she has found a home in. Her works have been supported by Tin House Writer’s Workshop and Torrey House Press’ Voices for the West workshop. Nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2022, she can be found or is forthcoming in Rattle, DIAGRAM, and the Poem A Day among others. In 2021, she published her first chapbook, Amerixana, with Ignite Press out of Chatham University’s MFA program.
