Hi, this is Sharon and Jeff Hipps from San Mateo. Like all of you, Margarita has cleaned our home (and Jeff’s business) for many years. Today, after cleaning our house, Margarita went out to her white minivan and discovered it had been broken into and $9,000 in cash was taken. Margarita had planned to go to the bank in downtown San Mateo when she finished work to pay her rent, her daughter’s rent, as well as send money to family in Mexico and Guatemala. As you can imagine, Margarita is devastated. We called the San Mateo police and they took a report, but unfortunately there is little hope of finding the thieves. Margarita is such a kind, hard-working woman who selflessly provides for her family both here and in Guatemala and Mexico. Please consider donating to help Margarita through this ordeal.
