Funeral expenses for Margarita (Vicky) Martinez

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our lovely Margarita “Vicky” Martinez on March 8th, 2024. She was our dearly loved mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and niece, and she will be greatly missed by her loving family and close friends.

This is hard. Thinking about the people you love dying is hard. Asking for help is hard. And watching someone fight an illness only to have the disease win is often almost unbearable. But yet, here we are. And here I write on behalf of my aunt Margarita (Vicki) Martinez, asking for help as she battles with Glioblastoma Multiforme grade 4 cancer.

July 29th, she had facial drooping and that’s when her fight started, she learned she had two masses in her brain. A couple biopsies to learn this was the most aggressive form of cancer. Family has been by her side 24/7 and now she has transitioned into hospice. Her daughter Vicky has been unable to work for months as she cannot leave her side. Caring for her morning, noon, and night, administering medications, taking care of her personal care, cooking, cleaning, and tending to every need she has moment to moment.

If you've read this far, you either know and love our beautiful daughter of God, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend Magui or you've connected to her story in some way. These kinds of requests are immensely difficult to write. You struggle to find exactly the right words in the hopes that you can convince someone to open their heart and to give. How do you express on a page how important, how amazing or how loved a person is? How do you convince someone to sacrifice something? I really hope that something I've said here, or more likely something she's done for you, has moved you to the decision to help.

“Your presence has been a blessing; your departure will be a radiant transformation.”

For any donations you can Zelle her daughter directly
