I am kindly asking mainly and foremost for your prayers but also for your financial support for Margarita Cruz, my sister. She was recently diagnosed with an aggressive progressive form of Multiple Sclerosis.

For two years, she struggled with many of the symptoms. However, no doctor in the US could pin point her problem. She was unfortunately mis diagnosed with Vertigo, anxiety, back problems and plain some doctors even told her that it was psychological. This put a big burden in her family and finances since she took a lot of time off of work. After two years struggling, she decided to go to Mexico to seek answers. For the grace of God, she found the right doctor that would advocate for her and sent her to the doctor that would give her the unfortunate diagnosis of MS. She has been hospitalized in Mexico for 5 days which this has put her in a even worst situation economically.

Even tough the diagnosis was devastating, we are grateful that at least we know what the problem is so she can get the right treatment. For those who don’t know what Multiple Sclerosis. MS is a chronic,  disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord. In MS, the immune system attacks the nerves of the brain causing communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body. Most MS patients eventually will lose the ability to see clearly, write, speak, or walk.  Because the MS has progressed, she now has tremors, can’t walk without assistance. Her knees are weak and her spine is uneven(damaged). She has slurred speech and thinking problems. If you find it in your heart to help Maggie, I will truly and greatly appreciate it.

Les pido amablemente sobre todo por sus oraciones y también por su apoyo financiero para Margarita Cruz, mi hermana. Recientemente le diagnosticaron una forma agresiva progresiva de Esclerosis Múltiple.

Durante dos años, luchó con muchos de los síntomas. Sin embargo, ningún médico en los EE. UU. pudo encontrar su problema. Lamentablemente, la diagnosticaron erróneamente con vértigo, ansiedad, problemas de espalda y algunos médicos incluso le dijeron que todo era psicológico. Esto trajo una gran carga para su familia y sus finanzas, ya que paró mucho tiempo  de trabajar. Después de dos años luchando, decidió ir a México para buscar respuestas. Por la gracia de Dios, encontró al médico adecuado que la abogaría y la envió al médico que le daría el desafortunado diagnóstico de Esclerosis Múltiple . Ha estado hospitalizada en México durante 5 días, lo que la ha puesto en una situación económica aún peor.

Aun cuando el diagnóstico fue devastador, estamos agradecidos con Dios de que al menos sepamos cuál es el problema para que pueda obtener el tratamiento adecuado. Para aquellos que no saben qué es la esclerosis múltiple es una enfermedad crónica e incapacitante del cerebro y la médula espinal. En la EM, el sistema inmunitario ataca los nervios del cerebro causando problemas de comunicación entre su cerebro y el resto de su cuerpo. La mayoría de los pacientes con EM eventualmente perderán la capacidad de ver claramente, escribir, hablar o caminar.

Debido a que la EM ha progresado, ahora tiene temblores en las manos, no puede caminar sin ayuda. Sus rodillas están débiles y su columna vertebral está desigual (dañada). Tiene problemas de habla y pensamiento. Si encuentras en tu corazón ayudar a Maggie, te lo agradeceré inmensa mente.
