Margaret's Rally For Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Hello friends, family and loved ones. This campaign has been created to help raise money to fund my fight against breast cancer. My recent diagnosis presents a huge burden, emotionally, physically and financially on my self, my loved ones and my business. Many people have asked how they can help me get through this, and I very much appreciate your support--all forms of it, including giving hugs, sending positive thoughts and prayers, taking care of my fur babies, feeding and helping my love Don to keep his sanity through this, bringing food and meals to my home, and providing financial assistance.
I was diagnosed with triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma on August 11, 2017. In my left breast resides a large aggressive tumor (and satellite lesions) that has spread to multiple armpit lymph nodes. I discovered a lump in my left breast toward the end of May, 2017 and unable to be seen by my doctor until early July, and consequently the first availability for ultrasound wasn't until the end of July 2017. The radiologist read my results immediately after and strongly recommended a biopsy ASAP. As this mass with satellite lesions looked highly suspicious for being malignant. My heart dropped, and I knew my journey had begun.
This has absolutely been a very educational experience from all aspects. So far this is what I know and am focusing on (and you should too):
1. triple negative breast cancer (tnbc) is very aggressive and tenacious.
2. I have tenacity, I am a fighter and I am ready to conquer this!!
As you can imagine, all of these tests, the surgeries and therapies are very costly. Since I am self pay and uninsured, the hospital requires complete payment up front before they will even let me schedule a date for surgery. I am currently waiting on a total, but an educated guess would be somewhere around $75,000. I am not one to ask for money, or even ask for help for that matter. But I reach out to you in this great time of need to help me and my family recover--emotionally, physically and financially.
I am forever grateful for your generosity and the outpouring of love and support so many have already extended.
