Friends, Indeed!

There is an old adage:   "A Friend In Need Is A Friend Indeed."

This is our battle cry!

Margaret McDonald--beautiful wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend and proprietor of the Blue Point Restaurants--was diagnosed with cancer in January of 2016.  She waged an extensive, courageous, all-out war against it before passing from this world peacefully on the morning of June 27th.

To know Margaret was to love her, and no one loved Margaret or will miss her more than her devoted husband John and her beloved children Jenna, Katie and Jack.

Margaret also leaves behind a multitude of adoring family members and friends.  Most of us find ourselves asking the same question:   "What can I do to support the McDonalds in this time of such profound loss?"

There is something we can do.

The enormity of the care and treatment Margaret underwent for 17 months, coupled with countless extended hospitalizations, has resulted in extremely daunting medical expenses.   As well, Daughter Jenna is marrying her fiancé Edder on July 21st.

The McDonalds have spent a lifetime showering others with their kindness, support, love and generosity.   By their very nature, they are "Givers," not "Takers."   But at this most difficult time in their lives, as we all search for ways to be helpful and let them know how much we care, one way to honor Margaret and ease her family's burden would be to help whittle down the massive health care bills they now face.

While they would never ask us to start such a task,  "Indeed, let us GoFund our friends in need!"
