Margarete and Daxel

On May 27th our dear Margarete tragically lost her partner and father of their child, Jeremy O’Connor.

Jeremy loved his family above all else. He worked extremely hard in his job to ensure that they were so well taken care of. Daxel gave him so much joy, he loved playing with him and teaching him all about the world. Watching him grow and learn was one of Jeremy’s favorite parts about being a Dad.

In addition to being an incredible partner, and daddy, Jeremy had many hobbies, and loved all things mechanical. He loved tinkering in the garage, often with Daxel peaking in at him. He enjoyed cycling and cycled from Houston, Texas to Austin when he lived there, and he loved cycling on the bike path with Daxel in tow.

Margarete is trying to focus on caring for their son Daxel while carrying this heavy burden of grief. Let’s bring our community together to support this family in their time of need so that she can focus on healing. Anything that you can give is appreciated beyond measure. The next few months will be extremely challenging for their whole family.

As many of you know, on Saturday I woke up from napping with my baby boy to the terrible news that Jeremy was gone. This terrible tragedy has stripped us to our core. The loss of a partner, your life mate, the person you know will be there everyday is unmeasurable. Jeremy, above all, was a selfless father.
