Hello,

This is a fund initiated by the children of Margaret “Meg” Smith. We are hoping to aid Meg and Greg in their extensive medical bills they are now facing.

 

Last Monday, August 28th, Meg Smith was headed home from St Lawrence Church, when she was broadsided by a truck that drove through the stop sign at the intersection of Pecan and Section Streets, by an uninsured and intoxicated driver.  Life resuscitation was provided by a Fairhope Police Officer at the scene and Meg was life-flighted to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola FL, where she was intubated and placed into an induced coma with extensive fractures throughout her body.

Meg is the proud mother of four, Grandmother of three with a fourth due in November and loving wife of Greg Smith. The extent of Meg's traumatic brain injury will not be known for some time and her recovery will no doubt be intensive and long. Meg and Greg have already had to manage extensive medical bills due to Greg’s severe health issues.

A devoted Christian and retired Registered Nurse, Meg, and her Husband Greg retired to Fairhope three years ago and will need your support and prayers for the medical expenses associated with this tragic event and her recovery.
