Margaret Maszka touched many lives in her short time on Earth. She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a friend and so much more to so many people. She lived a life beset with pain, illness and injury, and yet she persevered in, as she would put it, her own way.
Last week, Margaret suffered debilitating brain damage that put her into a non-responsive coma. On Wednesday, her family fulfilled her final wishes and withdrew life support. She was 37 years old.
Margaret's final act was one of hope and giving: She became an organ donor, offering life and health to others. As her friends and family grieve, they can rest easy knowing how she will live on, helping others.
With Margaret's friends and family spread so far and wide, and because her death was so unexpected as to leave no chance for her or any of us to prepare, we have begun this campaign to help put her to rest and settle her remaining affairs. We have set the amount here to cover funeral expenses, with remaining funds to cover additional needs for her family.
