Hi, we are raising funds to help support our mother, Margaret Lis. We are her kids and our names are Scott, Kim, and Beth. We are raising funds to help support her upcoming lung transplant. Margaret was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in late 2020. The progression of the disease made a lung transplant her only hope. We were given the opportunity to apply to the Lung transplant program at Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville, TN. After many months of tests, scans, and pulmonary rehabilitation the progress looked very promising. We recently received the news she has been officially placed on the transplant list. She now has to receive all her medical care though Vandebilt hospital. We live in Knoxville, TN and Nashville is around 3 hours away. Post transplant we are required to stay within a 30 miles radius of Vanderbilt hospital for a minimum of three months. We are asking for assistance funding her medical bills, travel costs, and lodging during her stay in Nashville.
