Margaret Fischer Lambert Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Margaret Fischer Lambert Memorial Scholarship has been established to honor the life of a woman who was caring, honest, capable and kind. Margaret navigated the world with a sense of purpose, a belief in the importance of education and hard work and a dedication to acts of service. She served her country in the U.S. Army, raised two children, and built a successful career in healthcare administration. Her interests were vast and varied and she was endlessly curious about people and places and things.

The goal of this fund is to provide two $2000 scholarships each year to graduating HS students. One will be awarded in New Hope, Pennsylvania (Margaret’s ‘happy place’) and the other in Bainbridge, Georgia, a community that so beautifully welcomed her and then nurtured her through her illness (we are eternally grateful). The scholarships will go to selected students who demonstrate the qualities that were so important to Margaret: humility, curiosity, determination, emotional intelligence, kindness, resilience and open mindedness.
