Dogs Need Your Help in Marfa & Far West Texas!
Donation protected
My name is Nina and I rescue, foster, network local dogs (and some cats). I work closely with our Animal Care Officer George (who runs our local Marfa shelter), local volunteers and a number of rescue organizations. Pet overpopulation still runs rampant in Far West Texas. Our goal is to give these unfortunate pups another, well-deserved chance at a good life.
This work comes at a substantial cost. Vaccines, vet visits, food, toys, leashes - the list is long. In January alone, we have spayed/neutered 4 dogs ($150/each) and with the support of The Underground Dog, we were able to fly two of our Marfa dogs to one of the best out of state rescues we know (commercial airplane tickets run $225/per dog). This weekend I rushed a very sick Parvo puppy to Fort Davis for an emergency vet consultation and subsequent hospitalization ($513.81).
These animals deserve a fair shot and not to linger in a shelter or bad private situations. The volunteers and I are happy to do the groundwork, but we need YOU to help us foot the bill.
I promise to provide meticulous accounting to anyone who wants to see where the funds are spent. If you need a receipt for tax purposes from a registered non-for-profit, please donate instead to one of the amazing organizations below, and let them know your donation is for Marfa animals.
If you take that route, please let me know, as well.

Thank you with all my heart. It takes a village and together we will continue to make a huge difference. Any amount is welcomed.
