I think we can all agree that this past year has been nothing short of being a difficult time for so many, but probably not as difficult as someone that we all know and so dearly love, Marcy TIshk. Shortly after the start of the New Year when we all thought that things would turn around for the better, Marcy got the devastating news that her Triple Negative Breast Cancer had reoccurred in her chest wall.
Marcys journey first began in April 2018, right after she completed her Yoga Teacher Training, when she was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of breast cancer. At that time she made the very difficult decision to have a double mastectomy, followed by Chemo Treatment, and Breast Reconstruction. I think you would agree that Marcy navigated through this time with an incredible positive attitude, warrior strength, and in true Marcy form with a little humor thrown in! From the beginning so many wonderful friends and family have followed and supported Marcy on her brave and difficult journey battling this dreaded disease. Marcy couldn’t have been more thankful for all the love that has constantly surrounded her.
Cancer is hard enough to have to deal with the first time but undeniably unimaginable the second time. Heartbroken, devastated, and crushed, Marcy will have to have a much longer, more aggressive Treatment Plan for this unforgiving disease. She will once again enter the most emotionally, physically and financially challenging time of her life battling this cancer in her body. I’m sure you’ll all agree that if we rally around her and offer our help, it might make things a little easier for her this second time around. Marcy has unselfishly given of herself to her friends and family time and time again, and has never asked for any thing in return! Marcy's kind, warm giving heart and loving spirit have touched us all in so many ways.
A lot of you have reached out to me asking what you can do to help. This is why I put together a GoFundMe campaign to assist Marcy through these financial, physical and emotional burdens that she is now faced with during her rather lengthy Chemo treatments, Radiation, and surgery over the next one to two years. These donations will be used specifically for countless health related essentials. Now is the time that Marcy really needs us! If at all possible, please take a few moments to make a donation to ease Marcy's Journey by showing her all your loving support!
