Keep #MarcusStrong

Donation protected
Marcus Josey, a junior at Northeastern High School, is a loving son and brother, a wonderful friend, a student-athlete, and an academic all-star. As of April 10, 2015, he also is diagnosed with Leukemia.

Doctors at Penn State Hershey Medical Center seek to place Marcus in aggressive treatment over the next two years. This requires his mother, Andrea, to take a leave of absence from her job teaching in the School District of the City of York without pay.

Marcus, one of Jamiel and Andrea's seven children, has been a student-athlete for over ten years. In addition to balancing his obligations to football and basketball, he has worked diligently to keep his grades impressively high. In fact, several prestigous institutions of higher education have contacted Marcus, as his high school career is quite impressive.

The Joseys are a family who have always wanted to help others. In addition to their biological son Marcus, Jamiel and Andrea have welcomed six other children into their family. During this difficult time, Jamiel will continue to work as a teacher in the School District of the City of York, meaning during Marcus' fight against his cancer, the Joseys will be a single-income family.

Despite not being the type to outwardly ask for help, this devoted family could certainly use love and support during this difficult time. We ask that everybody finds it in their heart to donate what they can to help this family through such a difficult time.
