Marcus’s Fight For Life

An update today 3/6/24….It is with much sadness, that we have to let you know, that Marcus has passed away early hours of this morning in Bali. He put up a good fight right to the end and the family is so grateful they were afforded the time with him this last week. His children, Blake and Baylee have been amazing. With the support and love of their mum by their side too.

Arrangements will be made now, to repatriate Marcus back to QLD. Thank you all for your kindness and generous donations. This will help immensely in costs involved with bringing Marcus back home to rest.

Initial story…..

Marcus Filleul has been dealt a bitter blow and has suffered a massive brain bleed, with tumour located, in Bali last weekend. Life saving surgery has been initially performed, with more ahead, and the road to recovery is looking long and tumultuous. Marcus needs to get back to the health system in Australia as soon as possible.

Sadly with no insurance in place, and huge costs involved with medivac flights, upwards of $120K AUD, mounting costs hourly in ICU in Bali, $10K a day, this is a traumatic nightmare.

Born and raised in Cambridge, NZ, he moved to Australia in 2013 and calls it home, though not an Australian Citizen.

His children, Blake and Baylee, are by his side in Bali now, and are desperately in need of financial assistance to pay the bills and get him back to Australia, in the hope of survival and then rehabilitation.

This Go Fund Me page has not been set up lightly, but it has become an urgent crisis.

The Medical Team at BIMC Hospital Kuta, are doing an amazing job and are providing the best care possible to Marcus at this time. For that we are grateful, but it cannot continue without funding.

We are praying for a miracle.
