Hello there! My name is Marcus Wiseman and I am a Boy Scout from Troop 209 in Palatine, IL. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project. God had been so good to me and I would like to help others in our community. I have chosen to help the TLC Pregnancy Services in Elgin, IL. They are a non-profit organization who provide free medical, material, emotional, and spiritual support to local woman facing an unplanned pregnancy. The center consists of trained, caring medical staff, which provide free life-affirming services, including pregnancy tests, STD testing, limited obstetrical ultrasounds and medical referrals. They provide their help and offer hope to the expecting mothers and their children from conception to age 3.
When I reached out to TLC Pregnancy Services they asked if I could help with landscaping around their building. With a new and beautiful landscape, these mothers will feel better about entering the TLC Pregnancy Center. I am posting current pictures of the building. I would like to remove several overgrown plants, trim and shape bushes, plant new plants and bushes that are easier to maintain, and mulch all the grounds around the entire building to prevent weed growth. As I work on my project I will make sure all volunteers who help are maintaining covid-19 complaint to the guidelines set by the state of Illinois.
My goal is to fund raise $1,500 for my project. Any funds we collect that are above my project will be directly donated to help the TLC Pregnancy Services in Elgin, IL.
I am asking for your help. Would you be so kind as to help me raise funds for my project to help the TLC Pregnancy Services. I plan on working on my project in the month of September 2020 when the weather will be easier for the new bushes and plant to take root and thrive. I believe my project will take two days. On the first day we will remove all the overgrown and unwanted plants and weeds. We will trim and shape all the healthy bushes. On the second day, we will plant all the new plants and bushes and mulch the entire area around the building.
