Marcus Adam former Commonwealth Sprinting Gold Medallist & Ex-Olympian has for the last 2 years been suffering from ill heath, he has constantly been affected by chronic fatigue, severe weight loss & has also been bringing up blood. The flat he was living in had severe mould & dampness, yet despite repeated complaints to his landlord no work was carried out to address this problem. A recent visit to the the hospital identified significant damage to his kidneys, his kidneys are now operating at 15% capacity of what they should be. He was told he needs dialysis & if this does not cure him, he will need a kidney transplant. As a result of his illness he has had to step away from his employment & go on benefits. He has also had to move out of his flat & is now sofa surfing at a friend's house. If people could see their way to making a donation to this very just cause it would help Marcus through these very difficult times. Marcus is a very popular individual who has a multitude of friends in the North London area (and beyond), he is well known at his beloved Arsenal Football Club, the athletics community & at the many pubs & clubs he has worked at as security over the years. I'm sure we will all give generously to support Marcus in his hour of need. There will also be a benefit night on Saturday 22nd November 2025 at the Islington Sports Bar & Grill, 274 Holloway Road, London N7 6NE to raise funds for Marcus (all donations for the event, auctions, etc are gratefully received, please contact Mick Doherty at the Islington Sports Bar to donate). We're all with you Marcus in this, you're a fighter, you can beat this!!!!!
