Hello all,
Let's rally together to support Marcus Stevens #16 of George McDougall who recently suffered his 2nd ACL & MCL tear ending his grade 12 senior year of football, during his 3rd game of the season. This injury not only takes Marcus off the field, doing what he loves. But also places a significant financial burden on his family. Marcus tore his ACL just 11 months ago when his family flew to Montreal to have his surgery so that there was no waitlist and Marcus could recover quick to get on the field for his final grade 12 senior year of football. With that, came a great expense of 22k plus flights & accomodation- 10 months after his surgery & rehab he got cleared to play his first game of the season on Aug 23rd. Marcus and his team had a great start to the season. On their 3rd game against W.H Croxford he was down on the start of the second quarter with a hurt knee taking him back off the field. After a rushed MRI a few days later the devastating news of another torn ACL & MCL. Marcus is scheduled for his 2nd full revison surgery in Montreal on Oct. 25th. As you can imagine after already paying out of pocket for a 25k surgery less than a year ago, this time round is tough. But, Marcus' parents are dedicated to his love of football and are commited to get him back on the field, for his future, hopes & dreams.
I'm launching this fundraiser campaign to help ease that burden and show Marcus and his family that their not facing this alone. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to helping Marcus recover and get back to doing what he loves- playing football.
Let's come together and support Marcus' journey to healing. All funds raised will be used to help with Marcus' surgery, flights & accomodations.
Thank you!
