My 15 year old brother, Marcus, is a happy and sweet kid who was suddenly  diagnosed, last week, with cardio myopathy and has severe heart failure. He has been in the hospital since diagnosed, and he has been strong throughout this. This is a rare heart condition for children. His heart doesn't respond to the meds that would help.. The doctors say his heart won't get better, his heart muscle is too thin. He will eventually need a new one via heart transplant. We don't know when he will be able to receive a transplant or when he will be able to come home.  They are starting to put him on the list for a transplant as I'm making this account.  Our goal is currently $10,000 and will be used to help pay the medical bills while Marcus is in the hospital and to help with their expenses for food, gas, and overall bills while my parents take an extended leave of absence from work to be with Marcus. I want them to be able to focus on Marcus's care without having to worry about the financial burden.
