It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my father, Marcus Ayudan "Butch," passing away at home last night. He was a proud man, deeply connected to his Kānaka heritage and his beloved Kauai, HI. His final wish was to have his funeral there, surrounded by his children and grandchildren, to spread his ashes and be reunited with our late brother and his son, Marcus. Unfortunately, my father did not have life insurance or any savings, and the costs associated with this are significant in Hawaii. During his fight with stage 4 cancer, he accumulated a considerable amount of debt. Therefore, we would be deeply appreciative if anyone could assist us in honoring his final wish and help our family with the financial burden during this time of mourning.
