Last December, Marc woke up one day with a lump in his neck. He knew something was horribly wrong, and went to his primary physician immediately. She advised that he go to the Emergency Room. After doing some tests and X-rays, they found multiple masses in his neck, and chest area, and he was immediately admitted to the hospital. For the next 10 days, Marc had to have multiple scans, biopsies, and surgery which led to a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.


Marc's hospitalization coincided with his mother’s arrival in Los Angeles, from Australia. This was the first time they could see each other in 3 years, and it was fortunate as she was able to be by Marc’s side as he underwent his first ever surgery, and subsequently began his chemotherapy. We were all devastated, but at the same time, we were so grateful to have each other and all our family and friends to support us at such a difficult time. Through all the love, Marc was able to be pronounced Cancer free after just 2 months of chemotherapy. To try and ensure that the Cancer never returns, he will have to undergo another four months (that's eight more sessions) of chemo. We are so full of love and excitement to see Marc continue to grow and explore his infinite curiosity of the world.


Through his work, Marc has been blessed with health insurance to help cover some parts of the ER, 6 months of chemotherapy, surgery, and scans. But as you all may know, the insurance does not cover the full amount and the donations will help to cover his medical bills, missed work, and treatment costs. This way Marc will be able to focus on getting better, as he will continue to have doctors visits and scans for the next 3 years or so.
