Hi all, I’m Miranda, Marcos older sister. On June 24th, 2023, Marcos would experience a life-altering event, while he attended his best friends wedding. He happily enjoyed the event and reconnecting with many school age friends. As he was saying goodbye, he stood still with a blank stare and his friends instantly knew something was wrong. By the grace of god THREE ICU nurses were at this wedding, who instantly jumped into action and performed CPR. His friends quickly noticed he was in full Cardiac Arrest. These amazing nurses performed 15-20 minutes of cardiac resuscitation until emergency medics arrived and finally got Marcos’s pulse back. Marcos was then transported to the hospital where he was sedated and hooked up to a ventilator and multiple machines to help his body recover after the traumatic event. We still do not know the extent of his injuries. Marcos is currently fighting for his life and we appreciate all the support and prayers. For those who don’t know my brother Marcos, he is a great man, father, husband and he’s an extremely hardworking member of IBEW Local 46. He has made some progress but he’s not out of the woods yet. Marcos is the sole provider for his family of 5. If you can help or share this post that would be greatly appreciated. He will have a long road of recovery, and we have no idea how long Marcos will be in the hospital to allow his lungs to recover and relearn basic motor skills. It’s been a week and as he has made small progress, he’s still on life support but has continued to fight. Marcos is a very proud father to three amazing children under the age of ten and this has been very difficult for them as well. His loving wife Jessica is emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausted but she has remained strong throughout this. He and his wife are missing a great amount of work and we want to minimize the financial stress on them as this is not something they need in the background when their focus should be on Marcos’ recovery. All our family is heartbroken at what Marcos has endured. Let's rally together to help keep Marcos focus on his recovery without financial stress. Any donation/share would be appreciated to offset the financial strain on them during this hard time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping in any way you can. We Love all the support we can get. Even if it's "air hugs" or well wishes. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Miranda Castro
