On June 10th, Marcos was experiencing severe abdominal pain and was brought to an emergency room in Plymouth, MN. Marcos has had previous bouts with pancreatitis in the past and this was found to be causing issues for him again. Shortly after his arrival Marcos passed out and had to undergo the first of several emergency surgeries. About 3/4th’s of Marcos’ pancreas was dead tissue and needed to be removed. This dead tissue also contributed to fluid leaking and causing liver and kidney damage. Marcos has been placed in a medically induced coma since becoming unconscious.
Marcos has undergone several surgeries to clean up tissue surrounding his internal organs and to drain excess fluid. He has had difficulty breathing and has required a ventilator during this time, in addition to, undergoing dialysis to help aid his kidneys. His condition has been up and down, but he is currently stable and we’re awaiting his stitches to heal and secure. He remains in a medically induced coma, but the goal currently is to get him awake by the end of the month.
Marcos and his family could really use support during this time. Marcos will have a long road to recovery and it will be quite some time before he can return to work. Currently his loved ones are taking each day at a time and are focusing on his healing. However, loss of wages, increasing medical costs and monthly bills are all adding up. Any donations are greatly appreciated and will go towards assisting these expenses.
Please keep Marcos and his family in your thoughts and hearts. Thank you to all that have reached out to his family. Your continued love and support is needed and appreciated during this time.
Thank you and God bless.
