Help Marcos & Family During His Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Heather, and Marcos Pena is my co-worker. On 12/11/23 he was found on the side of the road and taken by ambulance to the hospital where it was discovered he had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage in his cerebellum. He is currently sedated and on a ventilator.
He is 42 and otherwise healthy. This was completely unexpected. Marcos recently started with our company and has been an incredible asset. He brightens every room he enters and always has a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eyes.
His family members have travelled great lengths, from states away, to come be by his side. I know from personal experience how difficult it is to be present with your loved one, while losing income and trying to find accommodations in a different city. I imagine they will have to travel back and forth often, in order to juggle the demands of day-to-day life and wanting to be by his bedside.
At this point, when he makes it through the critical period, he will have a long road of recovery ahead of him, with quite possibly a 6 month hospital stay, and then rehabilitation following that. This is bound to take a toll on the family's finances, as well as their health and well-being.
While I can't take their worry away, I would like to help in any way I can, which is why I'm creating this GoFundMe.
