A Mother’s Worst Nightmare - Help MarcoAntonio Heal After He Was Stabbed 6 Times!!!

On September 14th, just two weeks after my son’s 18th birthday, my world was shattered. My son, MarcoAntonio Bindel, was stabbed six times in a brutal and senseless attack that left him fighting for his life. The injuries were catastrophic. His lung was punctured, and he lost so much blood that the police and doctors didn’t think he would survive. Over the next several weeks, MarcoAntonio endured unimaginable pain—both physical and emotional—as we spent nearly a month in the hospital, hoping and praying that he would pull through.

He required 6 liters of blood and 6 liters of plasma, 2 life-saving surgeries, and 38 staples to close his abdomen. Each day was a battle. He was in constant, severe pain, with moments where the agony was almost too much to bear. As his mother, I stayed by his side, helplessly watching him suffer, knowing that the road ahead would be long and uncertain.

Through it all, MarcoAntonio’s faith has grown stronger than ever. He told me that he knows this experience was filled with lessons for him to learn, and none of those lessons have been lost on him. He feels a deep, personal connection to his faith, and it has carried him through the darkest moments of this journey.

Although they finished the surgery, they left his abdomen open to monitor for any missed injuries or continued bleeding. What followed has been a month-long journey of pain, uncertainty, and healing. I’ll be sharing those daily updates for our supportive community so you can better understand what these last weeks have held for us.
