Marco's Rally Against A Brain Tumor
Donation protected

Hello, my name is Jeffery Carter. I am an actor and a good friend of Mark's for nearly 6 years. In that time, I have always known him to be a kind and gentle man with a heart beyond measure. He was here for me when I needed a friend and has since brought much happiness and good fortune to my life. I owe him a debt of gratitude so I wanted to use my gifts to help him out.
On February 7th, 2017 Marco was on his way to work at the Anderson School of Business at UCLA when he started suffering debilitating pain, vision and hearing loss, dizziness and was nearly hit by several cars as he made his way across the street to Ronald Reagan Medical Center to check himself in.- He was later diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor growing in the back of the skull and eating away at this brain.
Prior to this diagnosis, he was not doing very well and had dramatically changed many of his habits. He complained about “pressure” inside his head and intense pain prompting me to insist he see a doctor about his symptoms.
Although he is home resting right now, his surgery is scheduled for Feburary 15th, 2017. The doctor has warned that he may suffer from some forms of diminishment from the surgery and that the surgery is typically NOT A CURE! – He will also need to go through chemotherapy afterward. There will be considerable down time after surgery and of course, your prayers are always welcome.
At this point, it is uncertain if Marco will be able to resume his duties after surgery so I wanted to raise awareness to this (and all forms of cancer,) but most importantly – his need for funds to help him fight this terrible disease. And since Marco also takes public transportation to and from work, he will likely need cheap and reliable transportation too.
Just two years away from retirement means not enough funds to give him a fighting chance to beat this terrible disease. Let’s help Marco get back on his feet and back to work…(if possible) but most importantly, let’s all make a difference is his life the way he has ours.
These funds are needed immediately and will be used to pay for transportation, medical costs and time off work. The need will likely continue for some time. However, I have taken over all his primary care and am currently providing as much assistance as I can - but I too am permanently disabled so my assets and resources are extremely limited.
If you can donate, then please do. If not, please pass this on to someone who can.
Thank you all for anything you can do to help make Marco's recovery a successful one.
Sincerely,
Jeffery Carter
