Marcin Stachon-Burtek and Family

Hi everyone, I'm writing this on behalf of Marcin Stachon-Burtek and the Stachon-Burtek family as a friend and someone wanting to help them through this incredibly difficult time.

Marcin was in his native Poland visiting family in his hometown of Zakopane. Unfortunately, last week, he suffered a severe head injury that resulted in a brain surgery that had put him in a medially induced coma for about a week afterwards. He initially woke up for a few days, paralyzed on the entire left side of his body. Things then took a turn for the worst and he stopped breathing on his own. Doctors immediately put him back on life support and in another medically induced coma, which is the state he is currently in. Doctors are unsure of his recovery prognosis at this time.

Marcin is a loving husband and father and a close friend to many with a big heart who has always gone above and beyond for anyone in need. He is a huge animal lover and family man that has always provided care, love and support to those in his life. His sudden and tragic medical condition and situation has caused severe stress and grief to everyone in his life, especially to his immediate family members.

As Marcin's wife and children navigate this unexpectedly difficult time in their lives, I've taken onus on opening a GoFundMe account for the family to try and raise funds since he was the sole supporter of his family and is self-employed.
