This little babe is Marcie, a 10 (almost 11) year old staffy, my best friend since I first adopted her in 2014 from a rescue in St Augustine. She’s been by my side ever since, showering everybody and everything (unless you’re a squirrel) with unconditional love. About 2 weeks ago, after showing signs of severe pain, she was diagnosed with a terminal and very aggressive cancer that is affecting her left front limb (osteosarcoma). While at first we reconciled with thought of this being her time to go, she has since shown a resiliency to this illness and a willingness to live that has affirmed my belief that this is not her time. To save her from this cancer, she will need an amputation of the afflicted limb and possible chemotherapy/treatments to combat whatever cancer is left after. This ol’ gal still wants to run, play, chase squirrels, and spread her love. Please help me to achieve this goal, we have been in and out of vet offices leading up to this point and im about to be tapped out financially, but we can get this surgery and any treatment she may need if we can all come together.
