One of the difficult things for any of us is asking for help. My mother-in-law, Marcia Allen, is needing our help. She is in immenint danger of losing her home.
Over the past 2 years, mortgage companies have changed and thus, too, the loan. Her house payments have more than quintupled.
To avoid foreclosure and losing her home, Marcia is now working 2 jobs at 72 years old in what should be her retirement years.
Several years ago her husband, Wayne Allen, passed away. A law suit over medication was recently settled guaranteeing family nearly $12,000.00. She expected to use this to settle with the mortgage company. However, lawyers and others involved left her with only $2,000.00 of that settlement.
A total of $10,000.00 is to be paid in full by July 6. With her small savings and the $2,000.00, she is shy of just over $5,000.00.
