Marcia Brunning, Jim Boyer's partner, needs help

My name is Eric Eckstein. My good friend, Jim Boyer, the man who recorded and mixed many iconic Billy Joel’s albums, recently passed away very unexpectedly. Marcia Brunning, Jim’s partner for the past 21 years, has been by his side through many difficult times and numerous health issues and is now left in a desperate financial situation with little to no resources to pay her rent and bills.

Jim Boyer was a Grammy winning recording engineer. I like to call him ‘ the sound behind the stars’! In addition to Billy Joel, Jim produced and engineered albums for artists such as Paul Simon, Barbra Streisand, Sir Paul McCartney, Chicago and countless others. But as so often happens, while the stars shine, the people behind the scenes are forgotten. If you have been touched by the music of the 70’s and 80’s, then you have been touched by Jim Boyer and his incredible talents as a producer/ engineer. Please help me help Marcia get back on her feet. She needs support from the music community, and from the world at large!
