Marci’s story:
On March 2020 Marci was diagnosed with Stage 3C Ovarian and Peritoneal Cancer. She immediately underwent surgery to remove the tumors. One of the tumors is very aggressive and cannot be cured. In her words “My doctor said yesterday that according to the average I have 3 to 5 years and I will be on a maintenance drug which could give me another year. Not the best diagnosis by I truly believe God is not done with me yet... I'll be the first true survivor...regardless of what I've been told. I want to live my best life. I want to love my friends and family the best I can. I am trying not to take anything for granted”.
She is currently receiving Carboplatin and Taxol chemotherapy and will receive radiation treatments when she finishes. She has been out of work with no assistance for 5 months now.
In early July she received an emergency call from family members and had to drive to PA 27 hours straight from Colorado. This alone is a tough drive to make, not to add that she is undergoing chemo treatments. Anyone who has ever undergone this kind of treatment can relate to how hard this drive must have been for her, and to turn around and drive back less than 24 hrs. later. On her way here her only vehicle broke down in St. Louis on a 6 lane highway. Thanks to the kindness of a stranger she was able to get her vehicle off the highway and to a dealership. She had to rent a car with what little money she had to make it here. She later found out that the engine blew and no she has no vehicle to take her to treatments or get around.
Marci has always been the first person to offer help to someone. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Now she he is in desperate need of help. She has no money and needs to get a vehicle and everyday necessities not to mention pay her everyday living expenses such as rent and utilities. I know times are hard right now for everyone, but anything will help her.
I am asking for the kindness of friends and strangers(once again) for Marci.
