Phil, Jackie & Ian have all committed to walk 15,000 steps every day of March - that's a minimum total of 465,000 steps each for the month of March. (This is approximately 200 miles each)
As well as getting fit, they would love to raise some much needed funds for the Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust - a small charity whose aim is to improve diagnosis and treatment of people who suffer from an Aortic Dissection.
Jackies sister, Joanne, suffered a dissection in 2012 and was sent home from accident and emergency without being diagnosed. This could have been fatal but fortunately her local GP intervened and Joanne is still very much with us!
Since then we have all been fundraising and have so far raised around £8000, starting with the 80for80 walk, organised by John Goulding, who walked 80 miles in 7 days for his 80th birthday. We have held two fantastic quiz nights and now doing this March4March - any donations are gratefully received and we thankyou all
