March Of The Warrior For Mental Health Awareness
Donation protected
My name is Marcus Jefferson, or as I am known to my comrades in the French Foreign Legion, Michael Jordan. I am a Canadian expatriate and French Foreign Legion Veteran.
In April 17th 2023, I left the Arctic Ocean and marched south to the Pacific Coast Vancouver Island, then made my way to the East Coast (Cape Spear Newfoundland) along the trans Canada highway and trail . After reaching the east coast, I will then make my way to the Golf Of Mexico then to San Francisco covering the entire Northern Continent and reaching my goal of 27,000KM
I am a warrior.
But I wasn’t born one.
For the first 34 years of my life, I battled the demons of depression, stemming from childhood trauma, racism, and feelings of abandonment. These experiences fostered a deep distrust in authority, leading me into a spiral of isolation and despair. I felt trapped in my pain, unsure of where to turn or whom to trust.
At my lowest point, in contemplation of ending it all, the phone rang. In that moment, with the support of a friend and what I know was the guiding hand of God, I found the courage to make one last effort. I gathered my remaining resources, left everything behind, and embarked on a journey to France to join the French Foreign Legion.
What I initially saw as an escape became my first step toward victory—toward becoming a warrior.
During my time as a Legionnaire, I discovered something transformative. Through the trials of rigorous physical training and personal spiritual growth, I began to rebuild myself. I gained mental clarity and found a lasting inner peace. I realized I had to exchange my victim mentality for a warrior spirit to truly succeed.
And guess what? I did. This change ignited a fire within me, and it completely altered the course of my life.
Now, I stand here, not just as a survivor but as a living testament that if I can overcome my struggles, so can you.
That’s why I am ruck marching 27,000 km across two countries—connecting with thousands along the way. My mission is to show every community that the warrior spirit within us can conquer even our darkest experiences. This is a mission of hope, resilience, and undeniable victory.
Hope and victory are not just dreams; they are certainties for those who are willing to fight for them.
How far are you willing to go? How hard are you willing to push?
I am ready to go 27,000 km. What about you?
If you’re ready to take that first step, I invite you to follow my journey on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. While donations are appreciated, they are not expected. Whether you choose to step forward or stay where you are, remember this final message:
1. You are not alone.
2. Embracing physical fitness, spiritual growth, and open conversations about mental health can change your life.
I’m here for you. We’re all here for you. Let’s embark on this journey together!
I am raising money to fund my March over the next four years. I will need food, supplies and equipment as I make my way 27,000km through the great nation and entire continent. Any money left over or unused will go to a mental health charity of my choice once the march is complete.
