March for our Lives Greensboro

On February 14, 2018, a shooter walked into a high school in Parkland, Florida and killed 17 people using an AR-15. This is not the first school shooting in our country's history and it won't be the last if our Congress does not pass legislation to prevent these disasters.
On March 24, our goal is to lead a march through downtown Greensboro to express our political concerns and to gain attention of our state and national politicians. We are a group of high schoolers from across Guilford County schools trying to bring the March for Our Lives spirit to Greensboro so that citizens of our city can demonstrate their beliefs. Due to our age, we do not have access to many funds and we need your help so we can pay for sound, stages and insurance.
The main reason we believe in this movement is so that we can feel safe in school. Events such as this one in Parkland create a tense environment in schools and we go throughout our day in fear. Hopefully with this march, we can be part of the movement that ensures all kids are safe at school.

Note - Because of our age, we do have an adult helping us manage and access our money. Her name is Jill and she is very close to some of our march organizers. We all trust her to help us take care of your donations and put them towards items we need to hold the best march possible.
