March 28th Accident: Aid for My Sister
Donation protected
In the early morning hours of Friday, March 28th my sister and I were in an awful car accident, completely totaling her brand new car. At least 10 feet of guard rail had been pushed back, leaving the car mounted on top of the guard rail and stuck in place. The cop responding to the scene said we were lucky to have walked away from the car and we should’ve been paralyzed. It was soon after this incident we found out the dealership she got the car from did not hold up to their duties, and some how allowed my sister to drive off the lot with the state minimum insurance coverage after she was told it would be updated to whatever coverage was legally required by the lender. My sister has close to no coverage on this car, is $22,000 in debt from a car she hasn’t even had for a month, and hasn’t been able to return to work due to how badly her legs were injured in the crash.
We’re all at such a loss trying to understand how this big of a mess up could happen with the insurance policy, and my sister is mourning the loss of her car. She would be greatly relieved to have any help at all during this time, even $1 helps.
