Hey everyone! We are setting up this GoFundMe account for our brother, Marcello III. Marce was diagnosed with Soft Tissue Sarcoma in January 2022. Soft Tissue Sarcoma is a type of cancer found mainly in the soft tissue, such as muscles, tendons, and lymph. In the Spring of 2021, he noticed a lump developing on his back, near his spine. Doctors officially diagnosed him after a CT scan, MRI, and biopsy all confirmed cancer. On February 11, 2022, he underwent surgery to remove the tumor attached to his spine. Luckily, they were able to remove almost 100 percent of the cancer. He has now begun radiation therapy to kill the remainder of the cancer cells and to prevent possible reoccurrence. He will be receiving radiation therapy daily at the UNM Cancer Center in Albuquerque for the next five weeks.

 

This experience has taken an immense toll on his livelihood and our family. He has had many setbacks with his recovery, including several trips to the emergency room and severe reactions to medications. Yet, he has handled everything amazingly well and has continued to make us laugh with his crazy jokes and voices.

 

Since the surgery, he has been unable to work and is currently living in Albuquerque, further inhibiting him from earning a living. As a single father, he could use support during this time.
