Hi my name is Fiona. I am hoping to raise money for Marcellinos cafe in Medugorje. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris the owner this year, when i stayed in the hotel facing his cafe. He is one of the nicest, kindest souls i have ever met. Chris is from Palestine and moved to Medugorje last year with just £1700 in his pocket in order to make a better life for his wife, 3 young children and his mother and father. He opened Marcellinos (named after his son), such a wholesome welcoming little cafe that offers pizza, pastries, teas and coffees. Unfortunatley due to the location being at the very end of the street and out of the busy main street, Marcellinos is struggling.... I witnessed Chris's dedication to his buisness and to his family by working tirelessy day and night. He opens at 5am and closes at 11 pm doing all his own baking. Often times when i was there he stayed open until 2 am to accommodate the group of people i was with. He shared his life story and his deep love and faith in Christ. He would often go off to a quiet corner to pray the Rosary. His deep faith is what is keeping him going but unfortunatley he has no choice but to close the doors this week as winter approaches and tourism becomes virtually non exsistant. Im asking for your help just a small donation anything at all to help this beautiful family get through the winter.
