Hi my name is Sarah Tigu and I am raising funds for my dad, Marcel. He got sick with Covid-19 just before Christmas and by the new year he was in the ICU on a ventilator fighting for his life. He was on a ventilator for about two weeks and then after a tracheostomy was put in and he is currently still on that. He is still in the hospital recovering. He faced several infections that slowed his progress but he is almost ready to leave the hospital. Unfortunately he is going to be moved straight to a rehabilitation center to have several types of physical therapy. While they are hoping that he does make a full recovery, he may never be able to work at the level he once did because of the trauma his lungs and body went through. He was the primary earner for his wife Sara, son Isaiah (13), and daughter Rebecca (9). We are hoping to raise money to pay for the ongoing expenses from the last 6 weeks in the ICU as well as the specialized physical therapy that he will need from the rehabilitation facility. We don't know what his financial situation will be when he is finally able to go back to work. I want to make sure that his family, and especially his young children are taken care of.
