This is Marcel Robinson, a good friend and a true brother. After moving from Jamaica to study Political Science with an emphasis in Foreign Affairs at BYU-Idaho he began to experience a multitude of health issues which made life fairly difficult. The source of these issues were quickly written off as stress, indigestion, or something else inconsequential. Marcel pushed through and achieved a 3.0 GPA despite any setbacks. It wasn’t until he came to Houston for the holidays that doctors discovered that his heart was working at 5% capacity and he was diagnosed with acute heart failure.

Thankfully, Marcel got the help he needed, but massive medical costs have been unavoidable even with insurance. In the future he may also need a heart transplant and face the subsequent bills that come with waiting for and getting a new heart.
