En janvier 2020, l’univers de Marcel s’est transformé ; diagnostique Myélome multiple stade 4 (cancer du sang). Depuis, il a découvert les aspects de la chimiothérapie. Notre ami est un battant. Sans jamais se plaindre, il doit se déplacer 4 fois par semaine pour recevoir ses traitements. La prochaine étape pour vaincre cette maladie dévastatrice est une première greffe.
La condition essentielle pour permettre à la greffe d’être un succès (ce doit être un succès !) est de préalablement passer sous le bistouri pour une intervention chirurgicale buccale, la bouche étant un filtre corporel qui permet à notre système immunitaire de bien fonctionner. Les frais d’intervention chirurgicale buccale ne sont pas couverts par les services gouvernementaux et s’élèvent à 3 000$.
Depuis janvier, sous les recommandations de ses médecins, Marcel a dû cesser toutes activités professionnelles. Donc, il n’a aucun revenu depuis ce moment et ce pour une durée d’au moins 18 mois.
Marcel a besoin de vos dons pour lui permettre l’accès à cette intervention chirurgicale qui augmenterait ses chances de survie suite à la greffe.
Ces dons lui permettront aussi de se déplacer 4 fois par semaine afin subir ses traitements pour au moins la prochaine année et demie.
Marcel est un ami exceptionnellement généreux qui n'a pas l'habitude de demander quoi que ce soit, c'est à notre tour de donner!
January 2020, Marcel’s univers went crumbling down, he was diagnosed with blood cancer (myelome multiple) stage 4. Since, he discovered the multiple aspects of chemotherapy. Our dear friend is a fighter. Without ever complaining, he must travel back and fourth at least four times a week to receive his chemo treatments. The next step to beat this agressive cancer is a bone marrow transplant.
The essential condition for the transplant to be a success (and understand here that it has to be a success !) is to undergo oral surgery, our mouth being the body filter witch allows our immune system to work properly. The fees for undergoing this oral surgery are 3 000$ and are not covered by our governmental services.
Under the doctor’s recommendations, Marcel also had to stop all professional activities . Since January, and for at least 18 months, he will not be able to get any income what so ever.
Marcel needs your donations so that he could undergo the surgery witch will increase his chances of survival following the bone marrow transplant.
These donations will allow him to travel 4 times a week to undergo his chemo treatment for at least one year and a half.
Marcel is an exceptionally generous friend , and he never asks for much, this is our chance go give back!
