Our world has turned upside down.
Our son Myles was admitted to Sick Kids Hospital on Monday.
After what was supposed to be a routine eye appointment, it was revealed to us that Myles has a brain tumor.
Trust me when I say this is a journey we never expected to face. But that’s how life works.
We are extremely grateful to be under the care of one of the world's best hospitals. The support and care he is receiving at Sick Kids Hospital is exemplary. There has been teams of doctors working on him since we arrived. We are in the midst of exploring treatment options and he will have surgery ahead but we are thankful to report that his prognosis is positive.
This unexpected detour of life, has left us uncertain about when we will be able to return to work. This is why we are reaching out to our community today. As many of you know, I've spent a major part of my life bringing laughter to you all through comedy shows and appearances, never once imagining I would be on the receiving end of a fundraising campaign. Your support means everything to us during this challenging time and will allow us to focus on his recovery.
We’ve discovered what so many in our situation have also experienced. It’s not just the diagnosis or treatments that impact you, but managing schedules and accomplishing routine tasks that drains you physically, mentally and emotionally.
Your thoughts and support are deeply appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing by our side during this difficult chapter of our lives.
With love and gratitude.
