Marc Chevrier, a lupus warrior, an excellent rheumatologist, a strong advocate for the lupus patients, a loving husband, a wonderful father and an amazing friend to countless fellow scientists, passed away on 02/06/2021. He is survived by his wife Diane and his children. Marc was a colleague, a manager, a mentor, a great friend, and a fearless fighter and catalyst for safe and efficacious treatments for lupus. Everyone who met him once loved him. His scientific insight was as profound as his passion to help those in need. He was larger than life. He was an unassumingly kind man, a great neighbor and a family friend. He was always here to help and there was never a problem he couldn’t resolve. He was the MacGyver of our community.
