Classes 3 and 4 at Aberford C of E Primary School are preparing themselves to run for a roaring cause!

On Wednesday, 4th June, our students will be taking part in Marathon for a Musical to help raise money towards the costs of our KS2 summer production of The Lion King - including the script, licensing, hall hire, costumes and props.

The children will be running a combined total of THREE marathons (which is 78.6 miles!) around the school field.

This fun and active event will not only promote fitness and teamwork, but also help us to put on a fantastic end-of-year show for the whole school community to enjoy.

The summer production is always a highlight of the school year at Aberford C of E Primary School. The children look

forward to it with great excitement as it gives them a chance to express themselves, build confidence, and showcase their wonderful creative talents on stage.

It’s an experience they’ll remember for years to come, and we’re thrilled to be bringing The Lion King to life this year.

We’re very grateful to our PTA, who have kindly paid the production costs upfront so that we can begin preparations. The aim of this fundraiser is to reimburse the PTA for their generous support.

We would be incredibly grateful for your help in reaching our fundraising target of £550.
