Ulster Maternity Hospital bereavement suite Row
Donation protected
Hi we are Conor and Linda. On the 31st May 2021 our beloved daughter Annie was born sleeping.
We received so much support during this terrible time from the staff at the Ulster hospital. Annie was delivered in the bereavement suite in the Maternity unit and we were allowed to spend valuable time with her surrounded by caring staff who made something terrible that bit more bearable. The forget me not group provides bereaved parents with items such as cuddle cots, special baby clothes and blankets along with home comforts in bereavement suite that make parents stay more comfortable and help make precious memories.
We are raising funds for this room in memory of Annie. It's something nobody wants to think about in pregnancy, but they are invaluable resources that are sometimes forgotten about. They have helped us both so much in the past months and we really want to be able to pass that on to other bereaved parents.
October is baby loss awareness month and we thought it would be fitting to honour Annie along with the many other families who have been impacted by the loss of a baby.
We will be completing a marathon row at Equip crossfit on 29th October and we are hoping to raise funds, get a sweat on and have some fun with friends at our gym who have always been so supportive!
